Overview
Truth or Dare is one of the all-time classic party games.
The rules usually go something like this: Everyone takes turns
asking one another "truth or dare?" If they choose truth, they have
to answer a question of the asker's choosing. If they choose dare,
the asker dares them to do something rather than make a confession.
Our games are a bit different in that they have a predetermined set
of questions and dares; which are chosen at random on each turn. So
before the game starts, everyone can look over the game to make sure they
are comfortable with the options.
When choosing the game options for any given turn, there's no
history, so you might get the same options again and again, as luck
has it. So make you dares something that's fun to do over and over.
How to play
Select a game from the above list.
Choose a player to go first. Have a different player hold the
phone, and have them hit the play button; all the while keeping the
results of the turn hidden from the first player.
Now the first player picks either truth or dare, and the results of
the turn are revealed.
Often, people agree beforehand to allow for a person to skip their
turn by taking a drink, or some other agreed upon substitution.
This is a nice safety valve to ensure everybody has fun and feels
comfortable.
Creating your own games
You can create a game from scratch simply by clicking the add
button, which can be found by clicking the "Mine" button at the
top of the screen.
If you see a game that is close to what you want, you can import it
by clicking on the "Import" button from within the game. This will
create a copy of the game that belongs to you, which you can then
edit to suit your tastes.
